Tyler James Rojas, 43, died on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 in Wichita. He was born on January 1, 1980 in Garden City, the son of Jimmy J. and Caverly C. (Beltran) Rojas.

Tyler graduated from Garden City High School in 1998. He moved to Austin, Texas where he worked in management at a Buckle store. He moved to Wichita to attend cosmetology school. After graduating from there he worked as a hair dresser in Wichita and also at Bite Me BBQ. He moved back to Garden City and worked at Old Navy.

He enjoyed skating, softball, writing poetry, cooking, his many shoes and treating friends like family. He participated in comedian contests at the Loony Bin in Wichita.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Caverly and Keith Wallace of Garden City, brother Brandon Rojas of Garden City, four nephews, Corben Davis of Houston, Texas, Timothy Rojas of Atwood and Jorden Rojas and Deago Rojas, both of Garden City, niece Morgan Cabral of Garden City, uncles and aunts including Gilbert Rojas, Oletha Cox, Manual Beltran, Jr. all of Garden City and Gerri Gomez of Great Bend, stepgrandmother  Juanita Hall of Wichita, stepbrother Jeff Wallace of Wichita, two stepsisters, Nicole Wallace and Jessica Barrientos, both of Wichita, and sister-in-law Tina Rojas.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother Kip Rojas, nephew Zander Rojas, and grandparents Bartillo and Mary Rojas and Manuel and Sara Beltran, Sr.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Garden City with Rev. Jim Atkins officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home.
