Harold Larson was born on Oct 11, 1937, and passed away on Sept 30, 2022.
He was born in Tescott, the son of Lambert and Marie Larson. He was raised by Walter and Lena Dodge. He had five brothers and sisters.
Harold married Royanne Young 64 years ago. Together they have six children: Shelly, Julie, Cindy, Mike, Joe (deceased) and Dawn. He has 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and telling them stories for hours.
He was a professional carpenter by trade, estimator, architect and engineer for more than 50 years. He designed and builtmeat-packing plants, residences, schools and businesses in Salina, all across Kansas and in other states. He was the land developer of Valley View Addition and Knoll Crest Estates. He owned Larson Construction Company and Century Sales and co-owned LAM-CO.In 1976 he designed and built the gazebo for Salina’s bicentennial celebration. This gazebo is now housed in the Jerry Ivy Park.
Harold loved to travel and was an avid reader. His passions were horses, hot rods and music. He enjoyed collecting car memorabilia and western artifacts and was a history buff. He liked to attend swap meets and trade shows and was quite a story teller.
Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 5-7 pm at Ryan Mortuary. Services will be Tuesday, October 4, at 10:00 am, at the Ryan Mortuary.
