Peculiar, MO - Teresa Mae Reschke, 74, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024. She was born on November 4, 1950, in Great Bend, Kansas.
She was adopted along with her brother by their parents, Elvin and Juanita (Reimer) Brown. Teresa and her brother grew up in McPherson, Kansas.
Teresa attended McPherson High School. After high school, she married and later divorced, having four children. Teresa was later reunited with her birth mother, Marilyn Mae Johnson of Wenatchee, Washington, her half-sister, Nita Dunn of Wenatchee, Washington, and her birth father, Merl Raymond Lloyd of Norman, OK. Teresa always cherished her Blackfoot Indian and Welsh heritage.
Teresa had a lifelong love for plants and was known for having a “green thumb.” Over the years, she worked as a CNA and spent many years employed at Sprint. Teresa loved spending time with her friends and family and especially adored her little dog, Bentley.
Teresa is predeceased by her parents, Elvin and Juanita Brown, her brother Allen Brown, her half-sister Nita Dunn, and her birth parents, Marilyn Johnson and Merl Lloyd.
She is survived by her children: Kraig Reimer and his wife Stacy of Phillipsburg, Kansas; Kami (Reimer) Visser and her husband Tim of New Castle, DE; Jamie Reimer and his wife Sandy of Phillipsburg, Kansas; and Klate Reimer and his husband Scott Reynolds of Centerview, Missouri. Teresa also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A small graveside burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on August 24, 2024, at Bethany Cemetery near Leoti, Kansas, where she will be laid to rest beside her brother Allen Brown, and her parents, Elvin and Juanita Brown.
