Anna Marie Kauten, 100, of Norton, KS passed away September 30, 2023 at the Andbe Home in Norton. She was born August 30, 1923 in Norton, KS to Clarence and Hattie (Hill) Thompson in Norton, KS.

Anna grew up in Norton and was a 1941 graduate of Norton Community High School.

She married Willis Kauten on November 20, 1952 in Norton. To their union, two children were born, Sue and Jim.

Anna worked as a secretary for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Norton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Norton, American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, and the Monday Federated Study Club. She enjoyed bowling, reading, loved cats, and truly enjoyed her time outside gardening or working in her yard. Most of all, Anna loved spending time with her family.

Anna is survived by her children: Jim (Patty) Kauten of Norton and Sue (Ed) Stacey of Bentonville, AR; four grandchildren, Brandy Kauten, Logan (Ashley) Kauten, Morgan (Spencer) Reeves, and Josh (Jenna) Stacey; 2 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis; twin granddaughters, Kandis and Kayla Kauten and siblings, Ione (Sandy) Jordan, Thelma (Owen) Watkins, Erma (Louie) McDougal, and Harold (Maxine) Thompson.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 in the Norton Cemetery.
