Larned – Virginia “Ginnie” Antoinette Roop, went home to her Lord and Savior on March 20, 2024, at the age of 63.
She was born December 20, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of John W. and Mary H. Woodard Patterson. Ginnie grew up in the Arizona desert region, she graduated from high school and began to travel doing different jobs. She had life experiences in Idaho, Iowa, Wyoming and her final resting place in Hays, Kansas. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, riding horses, and rodeos. Ginnie loved living in the country and having fun with her family and friends. Her greatest passion was her children, grandkids and all her pets. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, enthusiastic person of life with a heart of gold,
Survivors include: son, Derrick Roop; two daughters, Mary Roop and Jonna (Josh Brown) Roop; three brothers, Jonathan Patterson, Brian Patterson, James Patterson; eight grandchildren, James Zoe) Peck, J.W. Perry, Kreisa Weston, Brianna Roop, Dakota (Brea) Fuller, Brett Fuller, Stella Roop, two great grandchildren, Mia and Kalila and her beloved dog Zella.
She was preceded in death by her loved one, Estel Bush, her father, John W. Patterson; brother, Timothy Patterson, her oldest son, Lance Roop and Grandson, James Dalton
Cremation has taken place and no service is planned at this time.
