🥎 Indians drop final two games of Dodge City Classic

DODGE CITY - The Hays High softball team dropped the final two games of the Dodge City Classic on Friday, losing 9-1 to Goddard Eisenhower then 12-0 to Maize South.

The Indians go 1-4 at the Classic and are now 9-4 on the season.

The Tigers took control early, scoring eight runs in the bottom of the first.

The Indians scored their only run on an error in the fifth.

Lanie Becker had Hays High's only hit of the game with a single in the second.

Jaylee Summers allowed nine runs (eight earned ) on 12 hits with five strikeouts and two walks and took the loss.

The Mavericks scored in every inning. The took control with four in the second then blew it open with a five-run fourth.

Hays had four hits in the game and committed four errors.

Riley Dreher allowed all 12 runs (six earned) on 10 hits with two walks and two strikeouts over four innings and suffered the loss.
