Kenneth Michael “Mike” McConnell, 55, passed away December 2, 2022, at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
He was born February 25, 1967, in Larned, the son of Kenneth E. and Evelyn Lawrence McConnell.
A longtime Larned resident, he was a plumber and member of the Larned United Methodist Church. He enjoyed drawing and putting together model cars.
Survivors include: his wife, Tandi Smith; two sons, Payton McConnell, McCook, Nebraska, Sjon Blakely, Norton; three daughters, Darian McConnell, McCook, Nebraska, McKenna McConnell, Omaha, Nebraska, and Madison McConnell of the home; step son, Quincy Landrum, Valley Center; step daughter, Taelyn Goans, Hutchinson; brother, Richard (Kathleen) McConnell, Great Bend; three sisters, Sabrina (Fred) Rahe, Colorado, Shondra (Steve) Meadows, Puerta Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, Sandy Zwick, Sterling; two grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis McConnell, and two sisters Dell Rina Stout and Nancy McConnell.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2022, at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned with Tom Swain presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2022, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery.
