Constance Anita Jantz, 83, passed away on August 18, 2023, in Oberlin, Kansas. Constance was born on April 9, 1940, to Marvin and Revay (Woods) Benson in Kansas City, Missouri.

Constance was raised in California and graduated from Atwood High School in 1958.

She married John Jantz on April 1, 1977, in Salina, Kansas. Together they made their homes in Roxbury, KS and Niangua, MO before moving to Oberlin four years ago.

Constance was an author and had five Christian books published. She also enjoyed painting pictures. In her spare time, she was a Bible teacher and loved to do family genealogy. She attended church at the Lund Covenant Church.

Constance is survived by her husband John Jantz, her children: James (Letha) Costley of Bryant, AL, Linnette (Brad) Burger of Salina, KS, Laura (Ron) Shepherd of Salina, KS, Wayne (Chris) Hackney of Oberlin, KS, John (Jeannie Martin) Nelson of Oberlin, Kansas, Benjamin (Debbie) Jantz of Nixa, MO; stepchildren: Mike Jantz of Abilene, KS, Paula Jantz of McPherson, KS, and Shelli (Brian) Moon of Raymore, MO. She was also survived by 42 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and four great- great-grandchildren.

Constance is preceded by her daughters LeiLani Porter, Colleen Winters, brother Ron Benson, and son-in-law Rick Porter.

No services are planned at this time.
