Christopher Joseph Redetzke, 44, died May 27, 2022, at his second home, Wilson Lake. He was born January 30, 1978, in Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Gregory F. and Bernice M. (Rubio) Redetzke. Chris was a member of the Hoisington High School Class of 1996.
In 2004 he married Erika Landers and together they had six children. They later divorced but remained close friends.
A lifetime Hoisington resident, Chris worked in the oil field as a driller with LD Drilling for the last 25 years. He was confirmed in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Chris could most often be found at Lake Wilson, he loved camping and everything to do with lake life. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and he especially loved watching his boys compete in wrestling.
He is survived by his six children; Tausha, Aiden, Eastin, Xavier, Taylor and Kylee Redetzke; his father, Greg Redetzke of Susank; brother, James Redetzke of Great Bend; sisters, Shauna Siebert of Great Bend and Breanna Baker of Hoisington; his companion, Ginny McAnulla; life partner, Erika Spencer of Andover; and step father, Joe Baker of Hoisington; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice (Rubio) Baker and all of his grandparents.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. and Rosary to begin at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Hoisington.
