Jetmore - Linda Marie Burke, 71, passed away April 9, 2024, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.
She was born December 1, 1952, in Dodge City, Kansas; the daughter of Duane Marvin and Helen Theresa Gleason Aistrup. A lifetime area resident, she was a Para Professional at Hodgeman County Elementary where she loved working with the kids.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, where she was on the Parish Council, in charge of Prayer Group and attended Bible Study. She was also in the Piecemakers quilting club where they make Quilts of Honor.
On November 24, 1973, she married Steve Burke in Hanston, Kansas; he survives.
Other survivors include; her mother, Theresa Aistrup, Jetmore; two sons, Justin (Sara) Burke, Wichita, and Brandon (Heather) Burke, Osawatomie; two daughters, Jennifer (Mike) McDaniel, Wichita, and Bridget (Ben) Kaye, Prairie Village, Kansas; three brothers, Dan Aistrup, Dodge City, Emmett (Susan) Aistrup, Hanston, and Paul and (Susan) Aistrup, Larned; a sister, Cynthia (Lynn) Goebel, Jetmore, and ten grandchildren, Jake, Kieran and Kortney Burke; Howie and Audrey Burke; Amanda and Katrina McDaniel; Zachary, Cooper and Carson Kaye.
She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Marvin “Bud” Aistrup.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13th at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore, with Father John Forkuoh, presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Vigil and Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
