Robert Ray LaRue, 83, passed away April 23, 2023, at Diversicare of Larned.
He was born November 16, 1939, in Portageville, Missouri, the son of William Bryant LaRue and Mabel Maxine Hudgens LaRue.
Moving to Larned in 2015, he was a Billing/Accounting Clerk for an independent oil company. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, volunteered at the movie theatre and Gateway Medical Center. He was very active at his church and was a Boy Scout Leader in Granite City, Illinois.
On June 19, 1961, he married Patricia June Barunica at Granite City, Illinois; she survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Christine (William Chapman) LaRue, Larned, Cheryl LaRue, Granite City, Illinois; two sons, Robert (Jasmin) LaRue, Elkgrove Village, Illinois, Walter LaRue, Ferguson, Missouri; sister, Shirley Kellerman; brother, Donald LaRue; and two grandchildren, Joshua LaRue and Justin LaRue.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Dorothy Patillo, Juanita Downey, Gladys Eurene Phillips, Betty Winchester, and Aline Buie; two brothers, William LaRue and Herman Eugene Mitchell.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix presiding.
