Travis Glenn Gillihan, age 46, of Goodland, KS, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at his home. He was born on March 22, 1977 to Harold and Karen Gillihan in Cheyenne Wells, CO. After he graduated from Goodland High School in 1996, he went on to receive his Associate’s degree from Colby Community College in 1998.
For many years, Travis worked for the City of Goodland and then Helena Chemical. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, participating in NAGDA dog trial competitions with his beloved dog, Trigger and serving as a board member of the High Plains Roosters chapter of Pheasants Forever. Travis also dedicated many hours to coaching trap and skeet for both 4-H and the GHS Shooting Sports Teams and he enjoyed watching the athletes grow in the sport and become more confident in themselves.
Travis is survived by his parents, Harold and Karen Gillihan; sister, Amity (Justin) Ihrig; niece, Ella Ihrig; nephew, Rhett Ihrig all of Goodland; Paternal Grandmother, Gladys Gillihan of Springfield, MO; Aunts and Uncles, Mary & Carlyle Kammerer of Parker, CO, Perry & Susan Will of New Castle, CO, and Glenn T. Gillihan of Branson, MO; numerous cousins, family, and friends.
