Lifelong Goodland, KS resident, Mary Eleanor Puttroff, 91, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby, KS.
Mary was born on December 14, 1930, in Goodland to John and Frances (Nester) Schindler. She attended school in Goodland and graduated from Sherman Community High School in 1948.
She worked many years as a bookkeeper for various gas companies. She was married for a short time and had two daughters; Sharon and Marcia.
Preceding her in death were her parents, 2 brothers and one sister.
Surviving family includes her daughters; Sharon (Tom) Nemechek of Des Moines, IA and Marcia (Rob) Haug of Kansas City, MO, four grandchildren; Jodi (Shannon) Hensley of Des Moines, IA, Justin (Kathy) Nemechek of Bucyrus, KS, Chris Haug of Kansas City, MO and Courtney (Josh) Murray of Kansas City, MO, and six great grandchildren; Kaitlin and Kamerin Hensley, Iris and Caroline Nemechek and Elliott and Emilia Murray.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM MT, at the Goodland Cemetery, with Pastor Brent Flanders officiating.
Memorial contributions may be designated to the Northwest Kansas Animal Shelter and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
