Dan E. Wright, age 85, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Scott County Hospital, in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on December 8, 1938, in Logan County, Kansas, the son of William Clifford and Idella Margaret Russell Wright. A Lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he worked for Fairleigh Feedyard as a yard foreman for Twenty-Five years, Custom cutting, and enjoyed repairing bicycles in his retirement years.
He was a member of the NRA and a United States Army Veteran.
On July 5, 1963, he married Evalyn M. Hoffman in Raton, New Mexico, She Survives.
Survivors include his Wife - Evalyn M. Wright of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter- Susan and Craig Richards of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sons - Brian and Carolyn Wright of Mission, Texas, Greg & Portia Wright of Wichita, Kansas, Two Sisters - Sue & Patric West of Scott City, Kansas, and Carolyn & Walter Hundertmark of Scott City, Kansas, Six Brothers - Dewey & Cora Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Wilbur Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Marion Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Gary Wright of Scott City, Kansas, and Harold & Wanda Wright of Scott City, Kansas and Galen & Louise Wright of Sublette, Kansas, Six Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, and Two Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Son - Larry A. Wright, One Grandson - Brett Wright, Six Brothers - Cleve Wright, Harlan Wright, Milton Wright, Elvin Wright, Marvin Wright, Roy Wright, and Two Sisters - Della Morgan & Velda Spencer.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2024, and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
