Betty Louise Wiltfong

Betty Louise Foley Wiltfong was born on January 10, 1935. Her parents were Walt and Rose Fritz Foley. She had six siblings: Edward Foley, Alice Horner, Donald “Jack” Foley, Dale Foley, Joyce Foley, and Thomas Foley. Betty passed away August 16, 2022 at the Norton County Hospital at the age of 87.

Betty attended Thomas Country schools in Marysville, KS. On December 31, 1957, she married Harold Wiltfong. They raised two daughters, Debra Rose and Rebecca Louise.

Betty worked at Jack’s Restaurant for many years. After that, she was employed by the City of Norton as one of their billing clerks. She worked there for 30 years before retiring.

Betty was a member of the Methodist Church. Her hobbies included crocheting, gardening, and yard work. She loved staying home and puttering around the house. That gave her the most joy!

Betty had two children, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one stepson, and seven step-grandchildren.

She is survived by her oldest daughter, Debra and husband Terry; granddaughter, Jamie and her husband Luke; great grandchildren: Madilyn and Charlotte; step grandson, Ryan and his wife Cassia, and seven step-great grandchildren, Caden, Chayla, Shailyn, Alexander, Terrance, Savanna, and Raiden Russell.

She is also survived by her daughter, Rebecca and her husband Kurt; grandson, Grant and his wife Wendy; great grandchildren, Charly and Seve; granddaughter, Haley and her husband, Robert; great grandchildren, Jackson and Lenny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; siblings: Ed, Alice, Jack, Joyce, and Tom, and stepson, Cody Russell.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Friday, August 19, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Norton Cemetery. Betty will lie in state and the book will be available to sign from 1-5:00 pm Thursday, August 18 also at the funeral home.
