Nancy L. Leiker, age 81, died July 21, 2024, in The Woodlands, Texas. Nancy was born in 1943 in Hays, Kansas the daughter of Walter and Scholastica (Walters) Leiker. Nancy grew up on the family farm north of Walker, Kansas. She attended Walker Grade School, was a 1960 graduate of Victoria High School and attended Fort Hays State University.
In 1980, Nancy married Larry McCoy. They lived in the Houston area where they spent time fishing in the Gulf and lovingly raised many cats over the years.
During Nancy’s long and successful career, she was a partner in a power line construction company and later was the Benefits Director for Wilson Industries as well as the bookkeeper for several companies in the area.
Nancy is survived by Larry, her husband of nearly 45 years, brother and sister-in-law Wil and Karen Leiker of Topeka, Kansas, sister-in-law Jan Leiker of Suquamish, Washington, brother-in-law Mickey McCoy of Conroe, Texas, who was always there to provide a helping hand when needed, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, whose lives were made happier by Nancy’s love, warmth and acceptance.
Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents, sisters Bernita Leiker and Lil Brungardt, brothers Dennis Leiker, Jerome Leiker and Roger Leiker
