Maria Dolores Holguin, 68, passed away March 20, 2023, at her home in Lewis.
She was born February 8, 1955, in Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Manuel Holguin Urvina and Guadalupe Rivas Payan.
A resident of Lewis for 23 years, she moved from Chihuahua. She was a member of the Christian Faith and attended Iglesia Pan De Vida in Kinsley. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, weaving, watching tv and going to church.
Survivors include: son, Alonzo (Nancy) Ponce, Lewis; daughter, Rocio (Rene) Guevara, Lewis; eight siblings, Javier Holguin Rivas, Chato Holguin Rivas, Victor Holguin Rivas, Sol Holguin Rivas, Esther Holguin Rivas, Irma Holguin Rivas, Rosy Holguin Rivas, Luz Holguin Rivas; eight grandchildren, Rene Alonzo Guevara, Orion Guevara, Max Guevara, Ares Guevara, Khloe A. Ponce, Yarel S. Ponce, Sebastian Ponce, and Santiago Ponce.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the First Christian Church, Kinsley with Pastor Oscar Claro presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
