Gina Ann (Ellis) Gugins, age 49 years, of Kinsley, Kansas and formerly of Great Bend, Kansas, passed away at Haven, Kansas on Thursday afternoon, July 27, 2023. Gina was born on June 24, 1974 at Great Bend to Gary Ray and Clara May (Roach) Ellis.
She was a graduate of Great Bend High School and then went on to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and worked for a period of time at Cherry Village Long Term Care in Great Bend.
She was united in marriage to Gary L. Gugins on May 22, 2010 at Great Bend.
Gina loved baking cookies and candy, enjoyed surfing the Internet, and loved watching her purple martin birds outside her home. She also dearly loved her three dogs and her cat.
Survivors include her husband, Gary L. Gugins of Kinsley, Kansas; her father, Gary R. Ellis of Great Bend, Kansas; two brothers, Brian and Brent Ellis, both of Great Bend; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Clara May Ellis on January 1, 2013.
Cremation has been chosen and inurnment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery near Great Bend, Kansas at a later date.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Gina A. Gugins Funeral Expense Fund with Charter Funerals of Great Bend, Kansas in charge.
