Craig Steven Austin, age 66, of Stuart, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Ascension St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Craig was born June 30, 1957 to Kenneth D. and Rogene L. (Lowe) Austin in Ainsworth, Nebraska. They moved to Goodland in 1969, Craig graduated from Goodland High School in 1976, he attended Emporia State University and Northwest Technical College Carpentry and Communications Technology Programs. He worked as a Telecommunications Specialist for MCI in Salt Lake City Utah and then transferred to Denver Colorado and also Sprint in Colorado Springs Colorado and Austin Conoco Bulk Fuel in Goodland . He enjoyed riding his Harley, playing guitar and most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids.
Craig is preceded in death by his parents and niece Jordan Maree Phillips. He is survived by his children Jason (Sandy) and Erica Austin of Goodland, Shyanne Austin (Garret Cooper) and Tyden (Elainea) Austin of Stuart, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and 1 due on December 12th and 1 great grand child; sister Lori (Dave) Phillips; nieces Paige (Justin) Reich of Garden City Kansas and Chelsea Phillips (Brady) of Lawrence Kansas; and many more family and friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. MT at Bateman Funeral Home, 211 East 11th Street, Goodland. Interment following the service at the Goodland Cemetery, North Main. Visitation will be Monday, June 3 at Bateman Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. MT.
