Phyllis Ann Thon, 78, passed away on January 31, 2022, at the Prairie 
Senior Living Complex in Colby, Kansas.  She was born on July 15, 1943, 
in Lacrosse, Kansas to Carl and Rosa (Michel) Cheney. 

She graduated 
from Dighton High School and then went on to marry Carrol Bryant. To 
this marriage was born four children. Lance Bryant, LaRae Bryant, Layne 
Bryant, and LaTasha Bryant. Phyllis and Carrol divorced in 1990. 
Phyllis married Clifford A. Thon in May of 1991. They lived in Dighton,
 Kansas until moving to Park Lane Independent Living in Scott City, 
Kansas in 2013. They later moved to Prairie Senior Living Complex in 
Colby, Kansas in 2014. 
Despite all her health issues, Phyllis tried to make the most of each 
day. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to people and tell them
 about her very interesting life story. 
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, her son Lance, her sister Margie, and her husband, Clifford Thon. 
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Dighton Cemetery.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
