Connie Victoria (Gassmann) Albers, 35, passed away on September 24, 2023 in Oakley, KS. Connie was born on May 23, 1988 to John George Gassmann and Vickie Beth (Wilson) Gassmann in Hoxie, KS. Connie was raised on the family farm and this is where her love of animals began.

Connie graduated from Norton Community High School in 2006. After high school, Connie earned her associate’s degree in vet tech from Colby Community College.

On February 7, 2015, Connie married Fredrick “Lee” Albers at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Almelo, KS.

Connie loved her animals Jazzy, Daisy, and Duke. She loved life and found the good in everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband Lee, her parents George and Vickie, brothers Randy (Beth) Gassmann, Jeremy Gassmann, and sister Alice (Matt) Berens, nephews Johnathan (Harley Kester) Gassmann, William (Taylor) Gassmann, Luke James, nieces Maggie James, Elaina Gassmann, Emily James, Abbie Gassmann, Alexis Gassmann, and Hannah James, great-nephew Brantley, great niece Haisley, childhood buddy Nick Austerman, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her grandparents Conrad and Magdalen (Weber) Gassmann and Victor and Irene (Still) Wilson, and nephew Jakob James.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, New Almelo, KS at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Gym, with rosary at 7:00. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, New Almelo, KS.
