Craig Allen Helzer, 65, passed away May 24, 2022, at his home in Larned.

He was born January 14, 1957, in Larned, KS, the son of Wiley Dean 
Helzer and Marcialee Lawrence.&nbsp; A longtime area resident, he was a truck
 driver.

He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and the Bob’s 
Bikes group.&nbsp; He enjoyed tinkering with cars, motorcycles, different 
woods and metals, going fishing and glass blowing.

On October 31, 2015, he married Jacqueline Laune Hignett in Larned.&nbsp; She survives.

Other survivors include: mother, Marcialee Lawrence, Lewis; two 
sisters, Sherry (John) Castaneda, Lewis, Janice Perez, Great Bend; two 
aunts, Elsie (David) Helget, Hugoton, Mary Ellen Smith, Belton, TX; two 
cousins, Randy Lawrence, Lewis, Marletta Shelton, Larned; numerous 
other, aunts, uncles, cousins,s nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wiley Helzer; beloved uncle, Marvin “Bud” Lawrence and a nephew, Aaron Boese.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for family and 
friends will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the First 
Southern Baptist Church, Larned.&nbsp; Inurnment will be in the Wayne 
Cemetery, Lewis at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the Craig Helzer Memorial Fund in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, KS 67550.&nbsp;
