Patricia L. “Pat” Moeder, 81, of Oakley, was born on July 16, 1941, in Hugo, Colo., to Albert and Anna Marie Potter. She passed away on Dec. 27, 2022, surrounded by family at the Citizens Medical Center, Colby.
After having married Pete while living south of Monument, Pat became a certified reflexologist receiving her certificate on April 23, 1972, stating that she had satisfactorily completed a Course in the Ingham Reflexology method. This career was perfected by learning from her sister-in-law, Regina Duttlinger, and has since then developed many close client relationships that have been treasured friendships.
After moving to the farm south of Oakley, Pat continued with her reflexology business and began her retail silk floral wedding business known as Pat’s Country Expressions. Two years later, the business added fresh flowers to the floral lineup and relocated in town where her son, Jim, joined the adventure. Pat’s Country Expression was in the family for a total of 20 years.
Patricia is survived by five children – Roxanne (Dan) Keller, Colby, and Dona Moeder, Salina, and three sons, Mike (Melinda) Moeder, Oakley, Jim Moeder, WaKeeney, and Steve Moeder, Ransom; one brother – Jim (Augusta) Potter; one sister – Penny (Ron) O’Malley Kisch; ten grandchildren – Spring Plummer, Shane Wente, Jonathan and Jerome Goscha, Ashlyn Moeder, Andy, Trey, Skylin (Day), and Keyston Moeder, Cody Knopp; sixteen great-grandchildren – Jailen, Landyn and Ace Plummer, Shayanne, Macy and Gunner Wente, Dayson and Ryalin Moeder, Mayci, Brooke, Lydia, Gage and Payton Moeder, Kinslee, Kori, and Karsyn Day; two great-great-grandchildren – Bentley and Staley Mick; and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, her parents, Anna Marie Potter, Albert and Grace Potter, infant sister Tamera, sisters and spouses, Jean and Del Bullard, Alberta and Don Morris, and nephew, Joel Potter. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Oakley.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oakley, with Fr. Luke Thielen officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 at the church with the Rosary/Wake Service at 7 p.m.
