Ernest (Ernie) Sarles, 61, died Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on November 5, 1962, in Rock Springs, Wyoming the son of Sherill Garland & Gayle Powell.
Ernie grew up and attended High School in Dodge City, Kansas. He moved to Garden City in 1993 and worked various jobs as a mechanic. A car and motorcycle enthusiast, he also cherished the outdoors, spending time with loved ones and taking his Harley out for rides.
Survivors include his Wife- Michelle Sarles, Children- Linda & Kenny Gossman, Mace & Kylie Sarles, Raven Sarles, Chase Trussell, and Brooke Garvey, Mother- Gayle Powell, Siblings- Mike Sarles, Eugene Sarles, and Sheryl “Annie” Opdycke and 14 Grandchildren. He is Preceded in death by his Father- Sherill Garland.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Family suggest memorial be given to Ernest Sarles memorial fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
