Douglas Lee “Doug” Wilson, 62, La Crosse, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at his home.
Doug was born July 5, 1961, in Hays, Kansas, the son of Randel Ray and Jeanette Rose (Montgomery) Wilson. . He was a resident of La Crosse, Kansas, for 15 years, moving from Hays, Kansas. He delivered oxygen for Northwest Oxygen, Great Bend, Kansas.
He attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Liebenthal, Kansas.
Doug enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Las Vegas Raiders and K-State football fan.
Survivors include: his mother, Jeanette Snyder, La Crosse, Kansas; two sons, Douglas Lee Wilson, Jr., Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Derik Wilson, Great Bend, Kansas; two grandchildren, Dax Wilson, and Harley Wilson; one brother, Kevin Wilson, Omaha, Nebraska, one sister, Polly Wilson, Hays, Kansas; and nieces and nephew, Jenna Ginther, Salina, Kansas, Shae Wilson, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Damon Wilson, Hays, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his father; one nephew, Dustan Brian Wilson; his paternal grandparents, Lawrence Wilson and Thelma Howell; and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Irene Montgomery.
The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
