Neil Lynn Carstens was born May 11, 1950, to Maynard and Mabel Carstens in St. Francis, Kansas. He graduated from Bird City High School, later attending Vo-Tech school in Goodland, graduating with a degree in Mechanics at the top of his class. He was known in the community as an excellent mechanic throughout his life.
Survived by his sister Marla Stams, brother-in-law Rusty Stams, daughter Kimla, as well as all of the many Bird City area community friends that always watched over him.
Preceded in death by parents Maynard, Mabel, and sister Nora Wilson.
Memorial service Wednesday, March 22, 2023, 10:00 AM. St. John's Lutheran Church, Bird City, Kansas.
