Emile Kay (Moore) Goodschmidt, 76, died Friday January 13, 2023, at St.
Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born March 28, 1946, in Kimball, Nebraska. The daughter of Albert and Wilma (Helzer) Moore.
Kay spent her childhood years in Albin, Wyoming where she attended and
graduated from the local schools. She later moved to Larned, Kansas and
in 2001 moved to Garden City to be closer to her daughter. Kay worked as
a para professional both in Larned and Garden City before beginning her
15 years of customer service at the local Arby’s.
Kay enjoyed scrolling through Facebook, watching shows like Jeopardy,
Wheel of Fortune, General Hospital and staying up to date on the
forecast as well as the current news. She was an avid reader and enjoyed
most anything written by Danielle Steele. She was friendly, loving, and
warm, affectionately referred to by many as “Mom” or “Grandma.”
Survivors include her daughter- Tricia and Husband Dean Hodge, Brother-
Jon and wife Wanda Moore, grandchildren- Angelica Hodge and Amanda
Hodge, nieces- Katie Moore and Brooks Phillips, Rebecca and husband
Darin Lundberg, nephew- Alan and wife Jen Moore, great nieces and
nephews- Silas Moore, Joel Moore, Emmarie Moore, and Levi Lundberg.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held in Albin, Wyoming, at a later date.
