Ralph R. “Bob” Lambert, of Stockton, KS, passed away on May 3, 2024, at HaysMed in Hays, KS, at the age of 82. He was born on July 23, 1941, to Elton and Mildred (Opdyke) Lambert in Stockton. He married Pansy Holliday on February 15, 1962, in Stockton. They were blessed with two children: Robbie and Fay.
Bob grew up in Stockton and graduated from Stockton High School in 1959. He then attended barber school in Denver until 1961. He worked for Kenneth Cooper and when he retired Bob bought his business. After 30 years as a barber, he sold the shop and worked for American Golf Carts selling golf carts for 15 years and then worked for Jeff Cooper in Hays on carts for about ten years before retiring.
Bob enjoyed playing golf, bowling, Snooker, 8 Ball, and Sunday dinners with Fay and Gary. He coached baseball in the 70’s for many years; little league, K-18, and Legion ball. He knew people everywhere. He loved his kids and grandkids and drink of choice – Crown Royale.
Bob is survived by his wife, Pansy of the home in Stockton; son, Robbie Lambert of Stockton; daughter, Fay Thomsen (Gary Peterson) of Stockton; brother, Larry (Martha) Lambert of Hays; sister, Deanna Muller of Hays; two grandchildren, Kara Horn of Plainville, KS and Logan (Jessica) Thomsen of Milford, NE; and four great-grandchildren, Zaden and Zander Thomsen of Milford, NE and Karleigh and Treyvin Horn of Stockton.
Bob was a hardworking, loving, and dedicated family man. He loved what he did and did what he loved. Although he will be greatly missed, his life, his love, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Tim Horn.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, 2-4PM, at 183 Lanes in Stockton.
