Patricia Claire Burnett, Great Bend
Patricia Claire Burnett, 95, passed away July 28, 2023, at Rice County District Hospital, Lyons, Kan. She was born March 27, 1928, in St. Paul, Minn. to Fred and Barbara (Vonesh) Campbell.
She married Abram Burnett, IV, in Wichita on June 23, 1946. He died May 16, 1999.
A current Great Bend resident, coming from Timken, Salina and Wichita, Patricia was a house cleaner, a cook for several restaurants in Timken and La Crosse, and worked for Jr’s Cleaners in Wichita.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Timken and Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, as well as the Altar Society.
When Patricia was younger, she enjoyed bowling. She was a gifted seamstress and loved her cats.
Survivors include, two sons, Mike Burnett and wife Barbara of Wichita, and Patrick Burnett and wife Lyndsay of Great Bend; two daughters, Sue Parks of husband Bobby of Wichita, and Barbara Powers and husband Alvin of Salina; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Burnett, Damean Burnett, Nowa Stueve, Allison Parks, Ashley Bowers, Sydney Kruckenberg and Keaton Kruckenberg; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Abram; and a grandson, Abram Parks.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Altar Society Rosary at 4:00 p.m., and Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Aneesh Parappanattu presiding. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m., at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Timken, Kan.
