Robert Lee Shaffer, known as Bob to those who knew him or Bobby to many loved ones, passed away on April 21, 2024, in Dighton, Kansas. He was born on November 9, 1941, to Ross H. Shaffer and Edna P. Shaffer in Canton, Ohio. Bob was a resident of Dighton and moved to Texas.

He was a graduate of Sandy Valley High School in Magnolia, Ohio , the class of 1959, and went on to pursue military duty at Schilling Air Force Base in Salina, Kansas, serving as a Mission Engine Mechanic. He established a career as a business owner and equipment operator in the farming industry, as well as for several county and state entities.

Bob’s hobbies included a passion for woodworking and welding, enjoyed time as a car racing fan and had a great knowledge of vintage vehicles.

Bob was preceded in death by his spouse, granddaughter, parents, and siblings. His memory is held by his surviving family; his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as extended family.
