Robert Edwin Blanchette, a proud native of Garden City, KS, passed away from this life on April 15, 2024. Robert was born on May 18th, 1979, attended Garden City schools and was an avid athlete in many sports. Robert enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all, spending time with his family. Robert also was the world's greatest Denver Broncos fan never missing a game!! Robert loved reading, especially delving into the world of Game of Thrones. Robert had a profound appreciation for music and movies and cherished long conversations with his loved ones.
Robert is survived by his beloved mother, Rhonda Blanchette, his treasured daughter’s Haley Chapman and Sadie Smith, his sister Ashlee Blanchette, his brother John Blanchette, loving aunts and uncles - Randy and Connie Huber, Traci and Tim Savolt, Kelley and Gary Bicket, and Heidi Huber and Ann Carroll - as well as many beloved cousins, family, and friends.
Robert was predeceased by his father, Oskar Edwin Blanchette, and his grandparents, Robert and Leona Huber.
A memorial service honoring Robert's life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19th, at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, followed by interment at Valley View Cemetery.
