Karen (O’Brien) Weber

Karen (O’Brien) Weber, 81, White Bear Lake, Minn., died Tuesday, May 17, 2022. She was born on Oct. 28, 1940, to Peter and Leta O’Brien and grew up on the family farm near St. Francis, Kan.

She lived most of her adult life in Minnesota and worked as a substitute teacher while raising her family with her husband, Duane Weber. She was actively involved with Girl Scouts and St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; and two brothers, Glen O’Brien and Dean O’Brien.

She is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Blair, Karna Gruber, and Sharna Weber; a son, Ray Weber; two brothers, Neal (Julie) O’Brien, Scott City, and Rex (Diane) O’Brien, Hays; and six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mary of the Lake Church later this summer; burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn.
