Arlene Maier, 93, of Oakley, died Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was born November 21, 1930, in Otis, KS, to Samuel and Mollie (Adolph) Wagner. She married Herbert Maier on May 8, 1949, at the Bender Hill Lutheran Church and to this union four children were born. Arlene enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning and baking. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert; siblings, Raymond Wagner, Elsie Boxberger, Paul Wagner, Harold Wagner and Norman Wagner; grandson Rick Hubbard and granddaughter Tera Robinson.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Ron) Vrbas, George Maier, Gregory (Wava) Maier, and Timothy (Alison) Maier; 8 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.Visitation is 5-7:00 pm Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. 

The funeral service is at 2:00 pm Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Oakley, with burial in the Oakley City Cemetery.
