Floyd Edward Dotts, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. He was born February 19, 1936, five miles north of Garden City, to John and Julia Dotts.
After high school, he served in the United States Army from July 1954 through June 1956 and was stationed in Germany for a time. Floyd married Nancy Tucker and they celebrated their 56th anniversary this past January. Floyd and Nancy have been Montezuma residents for 53 of those years. He retired from the United Telephone Association in 1997.
Floyd is survived by his wife Nancy of Montezuma; two sons, J.D. and his wife Amber, grandkids Bailey, Katelyn and Kelsi of Rowlett, Texas and Wayne and his wife Mandi, grandkids Justice and Landri of Hays, Kansas; and daughter, Terri Nelson and grandkids Jordan and Jake of Coppell, Texas.
Graveside memorial service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Montezuma on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
