Rosetta Mae (Humrich) Whiteman, Goodland

Lifelong resident of Goodland, Rosetta Mae Whiteman, age 77, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado.
Rosie was born April 28, 1946 to Dennis E. and Mary Celesta (Gernhart) Humrich in Goodland. She grew up in Goodland and graduated from Sherman Community High School in 1964.
On February 4, 1973 she married Duane E. “Mike” Whiteman. To this union five children became siblings, Mike, Mark, Kim, Sonya and Micki.
Rosie worked as cook and homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing 5 at Cowboy Corner and dearly loved spending time with her family and friends. She was known as NANA to everyone.
Preceding her in death are her parents, sister Mary, her husband Duane (Mike) and stepson Mike.
She is survived by her children Sonya (Steve) Schwartz of Topeka, KS, Micki (Brad) Ensign of Goodland, KS, Mark Whiteman of Fargo, OK and Kim Dudley of Woodward, OK; grandchildren, Sayler, Sage, Sawyer, Dawson, Emmi, Kyan, Vanessa, Katie, Kylene, Sierra, Chelsea, and Ryan; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Pat (Dennis) Owens of Henderson, NV and Gladys Davisson of Northern CA; and many more family and friends.
Memorial service will be Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. MT at the First Baptist Church, 1121 Main Street, Goodland. Interment following the service at the Goodland Cemetery.
