Phillipsburg resident, Cindy George, passed away peacefully at her home on May 10, 2024, at the age of 66.
Cindy was born on December 16, 1957, in Pueblo, Colorado, to her parents Sydney Alan and Joan Evelyn (Vollbracht) McCarty.
Cindy was united in marriage to John A. George on August 18, 1979, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sydney and Joan McCarty, and her son Nathaniel Evan George.
Survivors include her husband John George of Philllipsburg, Kansas, daughter Elizabeth Hall and husband Garrett of Aztec, New Mexico, brother William McCarty of Colorado Springs, Colorado, sisters Pamela Worthington and husband Gary of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and Cheryl Sleman of Littleton, Colorado, as well as her grandchildren Ian and Mira Hall of Aztec, New Mexico.
A funeral service for Cindy George will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, Kansas, with Pastor Dave Hutson officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Phillipsburg, Kansas. The funeral service will be live streamed on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook Page.
Cindy will lie in state on Wednesday from Noon to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lutherans for Life.
