Ronald Eric Wallgren was born in Logan, KS to Lloyd and Betty (Damewood) Wallgren on August 29, 1958. He passed away on January 30, 2024 in Hays, KS at the age of 65 after a lengthy illness with cancer.
Ron grew up and attended Logan Schools graduating in the class of 1976.
He had a gentle voice and a kind heart that made everyone feel loved and cared for. He cherished his children, grandchildren, and all his relatives and friends. He was also a friend to animals, who sensed his compassion and warmth. He lived with joy and optimism, and never let the troubles of life get him down. He was a valued and respected employee at O’Reilly Auto Parts, where he worked for several years. He always greeted people with a smile and a friendly word. He was a wonderful man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Ron is survived by his four children: Kirk Riggs and Fiancé Danielle Dolphin of Tulsa OK, Sara Wallgren and significant other Clinton Lee of Plainville KS, Bryson Collins and Treyvon Wallgren both of Hays, KS; partner Marissa Collins of Hays, KS; two grandchildren Jackson Bo Lee and Myleigh Elizabeth-Rose Lee; brother Randall (Rod) Wallgren of Wichita KS; sister in-law Janeen Wallgren of Phillipsburg KS, a niece; nephews; and three very special friends Melody Collins, Chloe Willigham, and Chris Willigham all of Hays Ks; along with many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Betty and a brother Lynn.
Cremation was planned. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
