Terry Walters, age 80, passed away on April 11, 2022, at his home in Georgetown, Texas. Terry was born in Hays, Kansas on April 4, 1942, the first of nine children to Fidelia (Gottschalk) and William Walters.
Terry attended most of his school years in Hays - from Jefferson Grade School to St. Francis Seminary High School in Victoria, to St. Joseph's Military Academy in Hays, to Fort Hays State University.
Terry served two tours of duty in Vietnam in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Benner. He worked for IBM for 20 years and then with his brothers, two sisters, and two sisters-in-law at The Forms Group for 15 years.
Terry was a very positive life force who will be missed by everyone who knew him. He always had a story to tell and was passionate about life and his faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son, uncle, and godfather and loved his family with all his heart and soul.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; son Barry and his wife Kathlene; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Austin and Alyssa; great grandchildren, Orion and Jameson; brothers, Dave and wife Mary, Pete and wife Barbi, and John and wife Barbara; sisters, Kathy Brenner, Lilly Kingsley and husband Tim, and Sue Prediger and husband Joel; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Cynthia, and his brother, Bill.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 11 :00 a.m. at Santa Rosa delima Catholic Church in Andice, Texas.
