TRIBUNE — Marilyn Lee Angood, age 73, passed away at the Greeley County Hospital on Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was born on January 1, 1950, to Lawrence and Maxine (Carter) Lehman in Tribune, Kansas. 

Marilyn was born and raised in Tribune and returned home after spending thirty years in Pratt. She brought joy to so many people with her declarations of “I love you.” She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Elks Lodge in Pratt and Eastern Star. She was gifted with talents in crafting and quilting and loved to hunt for antiques in Garden City. At Christmas time, she played Mrs. Claus with her husband, Gerrald playing Santa for the children and young at heart.

On June 19, 1988, Marilyn married Gerrald Angood in Pratt, Kansas. He passed away on August 21, 2011.

Marilyn is survived by her children Michelle “Shelly” and Todd Seba of Pratt, Kansas, Corrinna “Corrie” and Todd Nemechek of Tribune, Kansas, James “Jamey & Dawn Howell of Forth Smith, Arkansas, Jay and Debbie Angood of Pratt, Kansas, Nancy and Dave Nimz of Boyd, Texas, Gayle and Wes Bridgeman of Prosper, Texas, her brother Ronald and Cecilia Lehman of Tribune, Kansas, her sister Geny Hawkins of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 15 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers,  Leon and Lawrence Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at the United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. (Mountain time) with pastor Jeri Smith presiding.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 2:00 (Central time), at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt, Kansas.
