In loving memory of Sherry Annette (Blackwill) Minear, who passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 63. She was born in WaKeeney, and raised in Quinter, Kansas.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Minear, a cherished mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Sherry was born to Duane and Loretta (Conner) Blackwill on March 9, 1960, and left us on September 23, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Duane Blackwill.

Sherry is survived by her mother, Loretta Blackwill, and leaves behind her loving sons, Jeff Kesler and his wife Tara, and Tyler Minear. She adored her two grandchildren, Matthew and Emma Kesler, who were the light of her life. Sherry is also survived by her caring siblings: Cindy Breeden, Jim Blackwill and his wife Kathy, Doug Blackwill and his wife Kim, and Lance Blackwill and his wife Ruth. She was treasured by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

With a 40-year career in banking, Sherry managed branches and operations with unparalleled compassion for her team, often sacrificing her personal time so her employees could be with their loved ones. Her unwavering dedication left an enduring mark on those she guided.

Sherry's warm heart and kind spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.

Services will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Collyer, KS, on Saturday, October 28, at 10:30 am. Fr. Charles Steier will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. May she rest in eternal peace.
