Dennis Leon Brungardt, 69, of Lake Charles, Lousiana, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at a local hospital. Dennis was born December 9, 1954, in WaKeeney, KS. to Seraphine and Bridget Brungardt.

After High School, Dennis obtained an associate degree in commercial refrigeration. He enjoyed working and time on the family farm. After his accident he rebuilt auto pilots for aviation industry. He later earned an accounting degree from Wichita State University.

Dennis enjoyed playing wheelchair basketball, bowling and later joined the wheelchair tennis USA Team where he won multiple tournaments. He moved to Louisiana in 2009 and enjoyed playing cards at the casino. He was a devoted father and grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son; Mathew Brungardt (Brandi)Lake Charles,LA, brother; Frank Brungardt (Donna) St &nbsp;Peter, KS, sisters; Phyllis Martine (Richard)&nbsp;Wichita,KS, Sarah Herman St &nbsp;Peter, KS, Theresa Staab Hays, KS, brother-law Mel Geci, Raleigh, NC, 2 grandchildren; Jacob Brungardt, Ethan Brungardt, 3 step grandchildren; Kayleigh Massie (Cody), Cody White (Danie), Jacob White and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lita Geci, 2 brother-in-laws, James Staab and Tony Herman.&nbsp;
