Keri Ann McLaren, 53 died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at her home in Dodge City.
She was born April 24, 1969, at Tempe, Arizona, the daughter of Merle R. and Betty Lou (Schemm) McLaren. She moved from Hays, Kansas, to Dodge City in 2006. Keri worked for Lewis Automotive as the Accounting Manager.
She loved to fish and travel especially in the mountains. Keri also enjoyed the family vacations in Minnesota. Above everything she loved her family and spending time with them. She was lovingly known as, “Grammy Keri” with both her family and friends.
Survivors include: her son, Jessie McLaren, Ft. Collins, Colorado; the love of her life, Charles Stephens, Cherokee, Oklahoma; her father, Merle McLaren, Hays, Kansas; 4 sisters, Laurie Johnson and husband Kris, Kona, Hawaii, Erin Filbert, Ness City, Kansas, Nita Tan and husband Mark, Moore, Oklahoma, and Eva Parrott and husband Richard, Hays, Kansas; 3 brothers, Terry McLaren and wife Carla, Ft. Meyers, Florida, Daniel McLaren and wife Lisa, Hays, Kansas and Michael McLaren and wife Arlena, Baldwin City, Kansas; sister-in-law, Debra McLaren, Hays, Kansas; and Charles kids, grandkids and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, 2 brothers, Sean and Joel McLaren and a brother-in-law, Myron Filbert.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
