Thomas Martin Seemann was born September 13, 1934, in Smith Co., KS to
Wilhelm and Elizabeth (Rahjes) Seemann. He passed away June 1, 2022, at
the Smith Center Health and Rehab at the age 87, the last of 13
siblings.
Tom grew up in Smith County and graduated from Smith Center High
School. He went on to attend butcher school in Colby, KS. He worked as a
butcher in several meat lockers and owned a butcher shop in Blue Hill,
NE. Tom married Margaret Dick on April 2, 2022. He loved livestock,
especially his goats, sheep, and calves. In his spare time, he enjoyed
gardening. Tom also enjoyed watching Fox Business and really loved his
time spent watching Walker Texas Ranger, drinking root beer, and eating
popcorn with his grandson, Nicholas.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and 12 siblings. He is
survived by his wife, Margaret Seemann of Norton; children: Doug (Marla)
Seemann of Walsh, CO, Donna (Peter) Dawson of Walsh, CO, Janna (Bill)
Forgey of Walsh, CO, John (Rebecca) Seeman of Lewistown, MT, Tina Reed
of Hebron, NE, Troy (Sandy) Reed of Norton, KS, Leslie Seemann of
Springfield, CO, and Tara (Kevin) Esslinger of Norton, KS; 21
grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am June 4, 2022, at the funeral
home. Burial will follow at the Norton Cemetery.
