Alvin Lee Naeve, 73, died on Thursday November 30, 2023 peacefully at his home in Garden City, Kansas.
He was born July 20, 1950 in Fort Dodge, Iowa the son of George Richard and Mary Alice (Adamson) Naeve.He grew up in Moreland, Iowa, and enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating high school.
Once he had completed his military service, he attended the University of Northern Iowa and received a degree in business management.
Later, he founded Des Moines Furniture Mart, where he made furniture to sale.
He was married to Carla Cook in Rinard, Iowa on May 22, 1973 and had two children, a daughter and a son.
After moving to Garden City, Kansas in 1998, Alvin worked for Tyson’s Fresh Meats until retirement.
He spent most of his time relaxing with his family and friends, fishing when he could, and drinking barley soda in the garage.
It was his favorite pastime to tease someone every day or else he considered the day to be wasted.Survivors include his Wife-Carla Rose Naeve of the home-Children-Randall (Ina) Naeve of Salt Lake City, Utah & Sandra (Yolani) Naeve of Miami Florida ; Grandchildren-Camelot (Refugio) Ferrera, Cruz Diaz-Naeve & Lillian Diaz-Naeve; two Great Grandchildren-Rosalia Chairez & Risella Chairez & Sibling-Regina Huelman, & Son-In-Law Anselmo Diaz-Escareno of Garden City, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no formal services for Alvin at this time.
