Inez Katherine Vohs, 83, passed away March 15, 2024 at Catholic Care Center, Wichita.
She was born November 18, 1940 in Galatia, the daughter of Alfred and Clara Polzin Reif.
A longtime area resident, she was a Funeral Director and Embalmer in various states.
She was currently a member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, Haysville. Inez was an active member in the Catholic Faith which resonated in each Parish that she was a member of. She was a 1958 graduate from Osborne High School and a 1982 graduate from Central State University, now known as University of Central Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She enjoyed music, quilting, sewing, gardening, fishing and was a big sports fan, especially basketball, she loved going and watching her grandkids and great grandkids play.
In June of 1958 she married Ralph Edmund Vohs, they later divorced.
Survivors include: son, Gerald Vohs, Haysville; daughter, Mary (Kelly) Evans, Herman, Nebraska; four brothers, Charles (Lucille) Reif, Plainville, Robert Reif, Phoenix, Arizona, Alfred “Al” Reif Jr., Osborne, Victor Reif, Osborne; three sisters, Alice Snyder, Oolagah, Oklahoma, Virginia Wench, Manhattan, Theresa Boxum, Lebanon; two granddaughters, Christie (Mike) Solko, Kate (Adam) Behrendt; four great grandchildren, Braden Colglazier, Cade Colglazier, Will Behrendt, Milo Behrendt.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; three infant children, Loretta Ann Vohs, Pauline Ann Vohs, Jane Ann Vohs,; two brothers, Edgar Reif and Arthur Reif and a sister, Elizabeth Yarnell.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date.
