Jeffrey John Riedesel, age 53, of Goodland, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the Goodland Regional Medical Center in Goodland.
He was born in San Bernardino, California, October 12, 1968.
Jeff and his parents moved to Lakewood, Colorado, in March 1970. Jeff graduated from Alameda High School in 1987.
Jeff always had a passion as well as a talent for engineering and designing which was evident in his model creations and his street rod. Along with his beloved Grandpa and his dad, Jeff built his 1929 Model A Ford street rod that he named Toy A. And like his Grandpa, Jeff earned many awards for his craftsmanship and drag racing.
After marrying Susan Cooper on October 21, 2001, Jeff, Susan, along with son Corey and daughter Grace eventually moved to Goodland, Kansas, where Jeff pursued his Law Enforcement career. He was proud to have served the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office and the Goodland Police Department. At the time of his passing, Jeff was the Undersheriff of the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeff is survived by his wife Susan, son Corey, (Monique and granddaughter Elizabeth), daughter Grace, parents Dallas and Janet Ann Wise Riedesel, his sister Tiffany Riedesel Romero (Mark), and a niece DallasAnn Romero.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Beulah Riedesel of Kirk, CO and Lawrence and Mabel Wise of Winchester, KY.
