Delbert L. Rose, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on September 27, 1930, in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Hubert Coy and Neva Berniece Quance Rose. Delbert was a resident of Logan County, Kansas from 1950 until moving to Scott City, Kansas in 1999. He was a farmer.
He was a member of the United Christian Church in Oakley, Kansas, served on the Logan County Soil Conservation Board for 25 years, the USD 274 Board of Education for 12 years, the Farm Bureau Board, Lee’s Township Board, and was an Observer for the National Weather Service for 50 years.
On April 23, 1950, he married Patricia L. McGuire in Oakley, Kansas. She passed away on October 14, 2004, in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include his One Daughter - Sheila & Jack Goedert of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Two Sons - Burton Rose of Scott City, Kansas, Brian & Kelly Rose of Wichita, Kansas, Eight Grandchildren - Corey & Julie Rose, Clenton & Anita Rose, Cheyenne Rose, Cody & Jessica Rose, Dylan & Bailey Rose, Gavin Rose, Raylee & Ben Jean Louis, Braden & Kathryn Rose, Ten Great Grandchildren - Kasha & Chance Chelemedos, Sierra Rose, Chance Rose, Chelsie Rose, Kristopher & Kelsie Rose, Anthony Rose, Adrian & Mason Weber, Audrey Buzzell, Sona Rose, Coast Rose, and Ten Great Great Grandchildren - Ariston Nguyen, Aja Hall, Addix Embryo, Mateo Rose, Levi Rose, Dalton Rose, Ashlyn Rose (That Girl), Chaysston Rose, Samuel Weber, Kordel Dorzweiler, One to be born in June.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Two Brothers - Burton Rose Jr. & Arlen Rose, One Daughter In Law - Monta Rose, and a grand dog - Maggie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the United Christian Church in Oakley, Kansas with Rev. Bob Kelly presiding.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
