Mitchel Dean Barker, age 67, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. He was born to Rex and Janice McLeish Barker on August 1, 1955, in Scott City, Kansas.

He was a lifelong member of the community.

Mitch was known as a man with many talents. He could fix about anything and enjoyed canning, gardening, entertaining people, hunting, and fishing. He was a hard worker and a good friend to all.

Survivors include his sisters Monica and Kevin Cambell of Lakin, Kansas, Rebecca and Jeff Berning of Garden City, Kansas, and his brothers Todd and Janet Barker, and Rod and Lora Barker of Tipton, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on July 5, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Wichita County Community Building, 502 M Street, Leoti, Kansas with Terry Laws residing. Interment will follow at the Leoti Cemetery.

Visitation will be on July 3 from 12:00 until 8:00 p.m. and July 4 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
