Donald August “Don” Neff passed away on Aug 14, 2022, at Good Samaritan
Oberlin, Kansas at the age of 90. He was born November 26, 1931, in
Selden KS to Florence and Margaret (Reinert) Neff.
He received his education in Kansas and Washington and went on to
Kansas State College. After college, Don went into the Army and then
came back to start farming. He lived in rural Sheridan and Decatur
counties before retiring in Oberlin. He married Geraldine Miller on
August 21, 1956. During Don’s life, he enjoyed farming, fishing and
making beautiful creations out of wood from the farm that each family
member now enjoys.
Don was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, Geraldine Neff,
siblings, Lois Meitl and Ron Neff along with his son-in-law, Mark
Jennings. He is survived by his children Christina Rasure (Mitch Tiede)
Goodland, KS, Debora Jennings, Wichita, KS. Michael (Jackie) Neff,
Dresden, KS, Thomas (Chris) Neff, Marian, KS, James (Kristal) Neff
Manhattan, KS. Six grandchildren: Daniel Rasure, Kayla (Brad) Hedges,
Mallory Jennings, Jordan Jennings, Darius Neff and Elora (Alex)
Aldridge. Four step grandchildren Elliott (Tamara) Gillespie, Aaron
(Tara) Gillespie, Heath (Samantha) Schulte, Ashley Albers. And Great
Grandchildren EJ, Millie and Fredrick Rasure and Brooklyn and Brody
Hedges. Ten step great grandchildren: Alex & Emma Gillespie, Jackson
& Greyson Gillespie, Kamryn & Ryder Schulte, Jaidyn & Jaida
Mathews, and Daysia & Dayanna Byers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 10:30
AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oberlin. Visitation will be from
1:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Pauls Funeral Home,
Oberlin. Family will receive guest from 5:00-7:00 PM. Rosary at 7:00
PM. Burial will be in the Selden Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Saturday.
