Alan Lynn Huntley, 66, passed away on September 1, 2023, in Oberlin, Kansas. Alan was born on November 10, 1956, to Eldon and Opal Marie (Cross) Huntley in Oberlin, Kansas.

Alan made his home in Traer, Kansas until his marriage to Connie Wagner in McCook, Nebraska where they lived for several years then moved to Minden, Nebraska.

Alan was a master of anything he did. He had numerous jobs. He worked at Cornbelt Chemical in McCook, Nebraska. Upon moving to Minden he worked at Coleman Manufacturing then went to CPI in Funk, Nebraska. He also worked at an ethanol plant near Minden and Funk and the Minden OK Tire Company. Alan also worked for Paul Landers who was a father figure to him and worked for Brad Larson who was his good friend here in Oberlin.

In his spare time he loved to fish, hunt, watch old movies, and mostly spend time with grandchildren and great grandchild.

Alan is survived by Connie and her children Chris (Lisa) Cohen, Bryan Cohen, Tanya Cohen; grandchildren Emily (Travis Dowling) Cohen and Lily Cohen; great-grandchild Makenzie Dowling; siblings Kristi (Jim) Bond, Gaylen (Vicky) Huntley, Mark (Becky) Huntley, Daniel (Doreen) Huntley and many nieces and nephews.

Alan is preceded by his parents Eldon and Opal Huntley, sister Suzanne Huntley and grandparents. Alan will be missed by all family and friends who know him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Pauls Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home. The burial will be in Traer Cemetery.
